Tennis Lessons (4-6 yrs with Adult)

Age: 4-6 years old Class Length: 1 hour Prerequisite: None. Beginners welcome! Program Info: This program is for beginners and children with some tennis experience. Basic racquet fundamentals and hand/eye co-ordination are developed through various exercises and games. This program is run using half court play. Introduces basic tennis skills. An adult must accompany the child in program. One adult per child. Equipment Required: Tennis racquet and non marking running shoes. Child must bring racquet. Adult may bring a racquet if they wish but not required.

Tennis Lessons Adult Beginner

For players with little or no tennis experience. The fundamentals of tennis will be introduced in this level. Players will learn the basics of rallying, hitting forehands, backhands and volleys. Also covered will be the serve and scoring system. It is recommended that players with little prior tennis experience take two sessions of beginner before registering for intermediate.

This is for players with prior tennis experience or for those who have successfully completed Tennis Lessons Adult Beginner. In this level players will continue to improve their technique of forehands, backhands, volleys and serves. Also, rallying consistency, court position, return of serve, and overhead smash will be included.

Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
(ground floor at the Mississauga Central Library)

Your local major community centre
(hours vary by location)

Confirmation receipts will be mailed within 2 weeks or e-mailed immediately

Online registration for Fall and Winter programs begin August 15. In person registration available at recreation facilities and the Customer Service Centre beginning August 22.

Programs with low enrollment may be cancelled. Remember to register early.

SESSION START DATES:
