The TDSB’s Community Programs (i.e. Learn4Life) for adults have a rich history in Toronto. Reaching back more than 160 years, we now serve nearly 30,000 learners annually through our Learn4Life General Interest and Seniors’ Daytime classes.

Opening our schools and adult learning centres for more than 1,700 classes during the day, the evening and on weekends, Learn4Life is your partner in lifelong learning.

A minimum number of registrants is required to open a class. The Toronto District School Board has the right to make the final decision to open or close a class or to revise the fee structure.

The new Edithvale Community Centre has opened. The old Edithvale Community Centre established in 1984 in the former Edithvale Public School, quickly became a hub for the community and has housed more than 50 local groups, many of which will now use the new community centre. The centre was designed with extensive community input and features a double gymnasium, banquet hall, youth lounge, seniors' lounge, two preschool rooms, a demo/cooking kitchen, three craft rooms, fitness and dance studios, a weight room and an indoor, elevated running/walking track. The centre is conveniently located near public transit. There is also a path leading to the building for walkers and cyclists, as well as ample bike parking.
