The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents.
All rooms as set out in the shared space confirmation are approved for use by the child care program, based on licensed capacity, provided that the room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. The operator is required to keep on file at the premises an up-to-date shared space confirmation. This confirmation must include the primary use of the room during the school day and must be made available to Ministry of Education staff upon request. As of August 31, 2015, Director’s Approval is granted for mixed age grouping pursuant to ss. 8(2) and (3) of Ontario Regulation 137/15.
Room 6B is licensed for a group 20 JK/SK children until August 31, 2015 when the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect. Once the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect, Room 6B is licensed for a group of 26 Kindergarten children.
Within the preschool capacity the operator can operate with an alternate capacity of 20 JK/SK children with a 1:10 staff to child ratio in room 1, with a maximum of 20 JK/SK children at any given time
The preschool capacity is based on the use of primary room 1 for a maximum of 22 children and alternate space,the gymnasium with a maximum of 22 children at any given time
Within the JK/SK capacity the operator can operate with an alternate capacity of 12 SK children with a 1:12 staff to child ratio in room 6B, with a maximum of 12 SK children at any given time
The operator shall ensure that the washroom supervision plan submitted to the Ministry is followed at all times when children are using the Gymnasium as the centre's licensed alternate space.
The School age capacity is based on the use of primary room 6A for a maximum of 30 children and alternate space, the gymnasium with a maximum of 30 children in at any given time.
The JK/SK capacity is based on the use of primary room 6B for a maximum of 20 children and alternate space, room 8 and the gymnasium with a maximum of 20 children in each room at any given time.
The JK/SK and School age program is licensed to operate before and after school and full-day on PA days and school holidays.
The operator shall monitor the recording of daily/weekly flushing for lead to ensure it has been completed. The operator’s record of the monitoring shall be available for review by ministry staff at all times.

Director's Approval

As of August 31, 2015, director approval is granted for the use of specified rooms/areas that may have less than 2.58 square metres of unobstructed floor space for each child in a licensed kindergarten, primary/junior school age and/or junior school age group, based on the licensed capacity, provided that the same room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group.
As of August 31, 2015, Director’s Approval is granted for mixed age grouping pursuant to ss. 8(2) and (3) of Ontario Regulation 137/15.
