Bus Stop: Camp Naorca - Mitchell Field CC

Transportation by bus is provided for the 3 specialty plus outdoor camps - Camp Naorca, Claireville and Hum-ri-va. There are also select Adapted and Integrated programs in the West District only, that offer this transportation option. When registering for a 'transportation by bus' barcode, participants MUST also register for the cooresponding 'recreation program course' barcode. Please refer to the Toronto FUN Guide for specific location program information.

CAN-BIKE Level 3

For students ages 9 to 12 years only, CAN-BIKE Level 3 is an 8-hour course taught over 4 visits. Students learn the rules of the road, communicating with drivers, traffic theory, and bike handling skills to navigate residential roads. Guided rides take place on quiet streets. A wallet card will be awarded from CAN-BIKE Canada to all who complete this course. Students must bring their own bike helmet, bicycle with a bell, and a bike lock. CAN-BIKE Level 3 may also be taken through Specialty Camp: CAN-BIKE. Please see the summer camp listings for this program option, offered as one-week or two-week day camps depending on location.

CAN-BIKE Level 4

CAN-BIKE programs boost skills, safety and cycling pleasure. Courses follow curriculum of Cycling Canada Cyclisme. Successful certification is recognized by the Ministry of Transportation in Ontario. Students must bring their own bike helmet, bicycle with a bell, and a bike lock. CAN-BIKE Level 3 is an 8-hour course taught over 4 visits. Students learn the rules of the road, communicating with drivers, traffic theory, and bike handling skills to navigate residential roads. Guided rides take place on quiet streets. CAN-BIKE Level 4 is an 18-hour course taught over multiple visits, typically 3 visits or 6 visits. Students must be 14 years of age or older, and able to ride confidently in traffic on busy streets, and in all weather conditions. Students must pass a Bike Handling Skills test to participate in the guided rides on major streets in traffic. Successful completion of the Bike Handling Skills test, written exam and Road Test will earn CAN-BIKE Certification, which may be used for employment purposes. CAN-BIKE Level 5 is a 24-hour intensive course typically taught over 4 dates, that certifies instructors to teach all levels of CAN-BIKE. Students must have CAN-BIKE Level 4 certification, and the recommendation of a Master Trainer or National Examiner. Students must be at least 16 years old to take the course, but will not be certified until they are 18 years old.

Registration Methods

  • Online Registration
  • Touch Tone (TTR): Call 416-338-0000 between 7:00am and midnight beginning on the session registration start date until the first day of the program; Call 416-3 38-4386 once a program starts.
  • Operator Assisted: Call 416-338-4FUN (4386) to register with a Customer Service Representative
  • In-Person & Drop-Off: Register in person at a designated civic or community centre on registration day or between 8:30am and 4:30pm from the day after registration day until the third class of the program
