AL: Emergency First Aid

Emergency First Aid is for people who want a general knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries. Skills include: victim assessment, CPR, choking and what to do for external bleeding, heart attack, stroke wounds and burns. Includes CPR-B certification. Recognized by Ontario's Workplace Safety & Insurance Board. If you withdraw or transfer from a program 10 days or less from the course start date, a 50% refund is provided. No refunds are given for classes or programs that you miss. 100% attendance and active participation are mandatory!

AL: Standard First Aid (CPR C)

The 16-hour Standard First Aid course provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR. This course is for those who want an in-depth understanding of first aid such as: medical/legal aspects, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, abdominal and chest injuries, burns, and medical emergencies. Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid is recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and the Ontario Health Regulation and is one of the prerequisites to NLS. Prerequisites: None. If you withdraw from a program 10 days or less from the course start date, a 50% refund is provided. AL: Standard First Aid (CPR C) Recertification

The 8-hour Standard First Aid recertification course provides a review of first aid and CPR skills. Practical skills will be assessed through scenarios and knowledge will be assessed with a written evaluation. Candidates should review the course content and practice their skills prior to the recertification course. Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid is recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and the Ontario Health Regulation to be valid for three years. Candidates must bring proof of original certification. Prerequisites: Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid with CPR-C (full course) done within the last three years. If you withdraw from a program 10 days or less from the course start date, a 50% refund is provided. No refunds are given for classes or programs that you miss. 100% attendance and active participation are mandatory!

General Registration Information

Registration Methods

  • Online Registration
  • Touch Tone (TTR): Call 416-338-0000 between 7:00am and midnight beginning on the session registration start date until the first day of the program; Call 416-3 38-4386 once a program starts.
  • Operator Assisted: Call 416-338-4FUN (4386) to register with a Customer Service Representative
  • In-Person & Drop-Off: Register in person at a designated civic or community centre on registration day or between 8:30am and 4:30pm from the day after registration day until the third class of the program

Online Self Registration

Registering online is the quick, easy and safe way to get into your program of choice. Online registration begins at 7am on registration start date which varies by District and continues until the first day of the program.
