Bronze Star

Excellent preparation for success in Bronze Medallion. Participants develop problem-solving and decision-making skills individually and in partners. Candidates learn CPR and develop the lifesaving skills needed to be their own lifesaver. Includes a timed 400m swim. Recommended: Completed Swim Patrols. Please note: Due to a revised safety standard, the diving skills in Learn to Swim levels 5 and higher will not be taught at the Frank McKechnie, River Grove, and South Common pools beginning with the Fall 2017 session.

Camp: Summer Fun

Join us for a summer of excitement and adventure! Activities include arts and crafts, sports, and swimming in a fun-filled environment. With theme-based activities changing weekly, participants can get excited about camp all summer long, making memories that will last a lifetime! Fridays are Special Event Days and for children six years of age and older, there will be swimming two times per week. Younger participants and those wishing not to swim will have other exciting activities planned. *There will be no swimming at the Courtneypark location.

Citi Swim

Citi*Swim is a team oriented introduction to competitive swimming. It offers the opportunity to learn skills and improve fitness for youth. By belonging to a team, each person enjoys learning to swim faster by challenging themselves to improve personal best times in swim meets. Citi*Swim is based upon the values of fair play and allows each swimmer an opportunity to contribute to their team. The program includes stroke and skill improvement and physical training. Participants should be able to efficiently swim one length of the pool. Practices will be held 2-3 times per week for a total of three practice hours a week. Full Summer, weekly, or two week registrations available. Please see pool schedules for dates.

Confirmation receipts will be mailed within 2 weeks or e-mailed immediately

Online registration for Fall and Winter programs begin August 15. In person registration available at recreation facilities and the Customer Service Centre beginning August 22.

Programs with low enrollment may be cancelled. Remember to register early.
