Adult Swim 1

Basic swimming skills and water safety. This is an introductory or beginner level. Prerequisite: A keen interest in developing skills and knowledge that promotes safe enjoyment of aquatic environments. Adult 1 develops or increases students' comfort in the water through basic floatation, movement and breathing skills and fosters the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to prepare, stay safe and survive in and around water.

Adult Swim 2

Swimming strokes and water safety. Prerequisite: Ability to swim 15 metres continuously on front or back and a willingness to increase comfort in deep water. Adult 2 develops one or more swimming strokes, working towards proficiency and increased endurance, and introduces or enhances water safety knowledge and skills relevant to the student.

Adult Swim 3

Lifetime swimming fitness and safety. Prerequisite: Ability to swim 50 metres continuously in at least two of the following strokes: front crawl, back crawl, elementary back and confidence to swim in deep water. Adult 3 maintains or increases the students' fitness through stroke improvement in a distance swim setting;introduces other forms of aquatic fitness activities and introduces or enhances water safety knowledge and skills relevant to the student.

Learn to Bike

LEARN TO BIKE COURSES: Brand new riders and beginners will learn how to balance, pedal, steer and stop on a bicycle. Students remain on site for all lessons. Students must bring their own bicycle helmet and a bicycle with a bell and training wheels removed. Learn to Bike courses offer 6 hours of lessons over multiple visits. Learn to Bike with Caregiver teaches the child to ride while coaching Caregivers to support the child learner. Caregivers will not be using a bicycle. Workshop: Learn to Bike is a 2-hour semi-private clinic that focuses on one or two specific skill areas. Workshop: Big City Cycling is a 2-hour clinic for all ages that covers buying a bicycle, helmet, cargo carriers, bike tools; locking your bicycle securely; fixing a flat tire, riding safely in the city. BIKE HANDLING SKILLS COURSES: Riders will strengthen basic skills and learn how to do hand signals, shoulder checks, steering, turning and changing gears. Students must bring their own bicycle helmet, a working bicycle with a bell, and a lock. Student remain on-site for all lessons. Bike Handling Skills is a 6-hour course over multiple visits. Workshop: Bike Handling is a 2-hour semi-private clinic that focuses on one or two specific skill areas. NOTE: Learn to Bike and Bike Handling Skills can also be taken at summer day camp. General Registration Information

Registration Methods

  • Online Registration
  • Touch Tone (TTR): Call 416-338-0000 between 7:00am and midnight beginning on the session registration start date until the first day of the program; Call 416-3 38-4386 once a program starts.
  • Operator Assisted: Call 416-338-4FUN (4386) to register with a Customer Service Representative
  • In-Person & Drop-Off: Register in person at a designated civic or community centre on registration day or between 8:30am and 4:30pm from the day after registration day until the third class of the program
