Westpark Daycare Centre

Established in 1988, Westpark Daycare Centre in Mississauga is a nonprofit early learning and child development centre that offers full-day and partial-day child care services for toddlers, preschool and kindergarten-aged children. We offer a learning program with a specific curriculum following the Ontario Ministry of Education’s guidelines, including the “Nipissing Development Program,” an introduction to music and computers, and the “Your Baby Can Read®” program. We also participate in “Raising the Bar in Peel,” which is a voluntary community standards program for licensed, centre-based child care in Peel.

About Summer Day Camp

Exciting, Fun Summer Day Camp Programs for Children Ages 6-12

At Westpark Daycare Centre, it’s part of our philosophy that summer is meant to be a time for children to relax with friends and family, and to have fun. We warmly invite children ages 6-12 to come and experience a fun and educational experience in a safe and fully licensed facility supervised by qualified Early Childhood Educators. Featuring a video camera monitored security system for added security, our centre operates daily between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. (excluding weekends and civic holidays when our facility is closed), providing parents with greater flexibility in planning their busy summer schedules. 

Age-Appropriate Classrooms Segregated from the Younger Children

Children enrolled in our summer program will have an age-appropriate classroom, well equipped and furnished for their summer vacation. We provide warm, nutritional meals and snacks prepared by our well-qualified cook. Our unique summer programming includes:

Terms and Conditions

The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. The licensee shall ensure that the total licensed capacity is not exceeded at any time.
The licensee shall submit written confirmation to the Ministry by May 27, 2016 that full compliance has been achieved for all items identified as “in progress” on the Summary of Child Care Centre Licensing Requirements and Recommendations report.
The toddler capacity is based on the used of the Jr. Toddler Room (15 children) and the Sr. Toddler Room (15 children).
The preschool capacity is based on the use of Preschool 1 Room (15 children), Preschool 2 Room (16 children), Preschool 3 Room (16 children), Preschool 4 Room (16 children).
The Kindergarten capacity is based on the use of the Preschool 5 Room (20 children). The Kindergarten Room may alternately be used for a group of 16 preschool children when enrollment allows.
The licensee shall submit written confirmation to the Ministry by September 1, 2016 that the written plan for completion of valid certification in standard first aid including infant and child CPR has been completed by all staff and that full compliance has been achieved.
The licensee shall ensure that monitoring of medication administration is conducted daily which includes: the proper storage of all medication on premise; a review to check that medication is labelled with required information; a review to check that written consent for the administration of medication including a schedule that sets out the time the drug is to be administered and the amount to be administered has been completed by a parent and a written record is completed following the administration of the medication. A written record to confirm that daily monitoring was completed, by whom and any action taken with copies of the completed medication forms are to be available on site for ministry review.
