ETAG Technology Coaching 55+

ETAG's technology coaches specialize in helping older adults with laptops, tablets, smartphones and the Internet. Small group sizes and easy to follow instructions are designed for participants at any skill level; from helping beginners learn the fundamentals of using Google and email, to assisting more tech savvy adults setup iPads or diagnose problems with a computer. Participants encouraged to bring their own equipment when possible.

March Break Kidz Camp

Come spend your March Break holiday at the Brooklin Community Centre & Library. Under the care of trained camp counsellors, kids ages 6 to 13 learn and have fun with specialized camp activities, crafts, songs and games. One skate trip is also included. Extended care hours are also available.

March Break Kinder Camp

Come spend your March Break holiday at the Brooklin Community Centre & Library. Under the care of trained camp counsellors, kids ages 4 to 5 learn and have fun with specialized camp activities, crafts, songs and games. Extended care hours are also available. Children must be toilet trained.

Bronze Cross & SFA with CPR C and AED

Designed for lifesavers who want the challange of more advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. Bronze Cross teaches the difference between lifesaving and lifeguarding, the principles of emergency procedures, teamwork, and use of special equipment. Bronze Cross and Standard first aid with CPR C are a prerequisite for all advanced training programs including National Lifeguard. Includes a 600m timed swim.

Bronze Medallion + Emergency First Aid with CPR B

Program teaches lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water rescue education- judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness. Rescuers learn tows, carries, defense methods and releases in preparation for challenging rescues. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a 500m timed swim. Emergency First Aid is a general knowledge of first aid skills including: victim assessment, rescue breathing, external bleeding and heart attack and stroke. CPR procedures for adult, child and infant are taught.

Lifesaving Swim Instructor & EFA Instructor with High Five ®

Lifesaving and Swim instructor prepares you to teach and evaluate the swimming strokes and related skills found in the Lifesaving Swim for Life program, Canadian Swim Patrol, And the Bronze medal programs. Candidates acquire proven teaching methods, planning skills, lifesaving skills and a variety of stroke development drills and correction techniques. Aldershot Sunday morning course is run in conjunction with the Swim lesson program where the Lifesaving Instructor participants will deliver lessons as part of the program content. Highfive ® is a link to children's mental health and the rationale 'Healthy Minds for healthy children training.' It allows you to identify key characters traits for healthy child development. Attendance is mandatory for successful completion.
