Creative Camp: Mini Dance

This introductory program will allow your child to experience the creative aspects of dance. Children will be introduced to the basics of ballet, jazz and hip hop. Children must be ready to participate in this program without parental support.

March Break Drama Camp

Learn performing arts skills in a completely inclusive, fun and friendly environment while working on a Musical Play that has been specially written for every camper to explore and develop their unique talents in acting, singing and dancing. This matches a professional theatre performance in every sense. Campers will learn lines, cues, blocking, songs, and choreography. A variety of theatre techniques are explored, like improvisation, puppetry, dramatic movement, and more. Staff are lead by arts educators with years of professional performing experience. This incredible opportunity builds confidence, sense of self, speech, presentation and artistic skills and culminates with a live, fully staged show.

Markham Theatre Junior Stars

Budding performers will learn skills such as acting, dancing and singing in a completely inclusive, fun and friendly environment. Along with learning lines, cues, blocking, songs, and choreography, a variety of theatre techniques are explored daily, such as improv, tableau, dramatic movement, and more. Campers obtain meaningful skills, make new friends, as well as build their confidence and understanding of teamwork. They are directed by professional performing artists who specialize in younger talent. Camp culminates with a live, fully-staged show.

Creative Camp: Aqua Arts Active (4 to 5)

This half day camp provides a combination of activities which introduces children to the world of arts including crafts and drama and gets them involved in high energy recreational activities such as sports games. Each day will include swimming and aquatic play. A 1:5 ratio will be maintained while in the pool for the children's safety. Children must be toilet trained.

Creative Camp: Dance & Play All Day March Break

Dance and play the day away while making new friends and having fun. Learn the basics in jazz and the latest in hip hop. Alternative dance options will also be featured in our 'Dance of Choice' segment, which could be anything from cheerleading to line dancing. Bring a swim suit each day and be sure to save some energy for games and crafts.

Dance Lessons Private

Learn one-on-one from a specialized dance instructor. Each participant must register. Additional dates and times availble. Please contact the community centre for details.

Camp Glee Club (6 to 13 Years)

Sing, dance and have fun! Campers will be encouraged to learn today's most popular song lyrics and create their own choreography and dances to go along with them. Campers may also participate in various camp activities such as cooperative games, sports, aquatic activities and crafts. These activities vary by location. These activities vary by facility. Before and after care is available, a separate registration and fee is required. Required Equipment: Comfortable clothing including running shoes.

Camp Cheerleading (6 to 13 Years)

This program focuses on stretching, stunts, formations, tricks, cheers and chants. Participants will coordinate various routines that showcase their flexibility, coordination and strength. Campers may also participate in various camp activities such as cooperative games, sports, aquatic activities and crafts. These activities vary by location. Before and after care is available, a separate registration and fee is required. Required Equipment: Comfortable clothing including running shoes.

Gymnastics Cheerleading ( 6 to 10 Years)
