P.A. Day Workshop - Wood Carving

This workshop introduces partcipants to various hand tools and techniques for wood carving. Learn about different wood types, designs and finishes. An additional fee of $5.65 (tax included) for the fee will be added to the course fee. Age: 9-14

Personal Safety for Kids [C]

This is a fun and interactive program that uses games and real-life situations to practice injury prevention, getting places safely, online safety, people safety and first aid. Children learn effective skills that empower them to make safe, caring and respectful decisions in their everyday lives both on and offline. Age: 7-9

Pool Pals

Complete your volunteer hours in a pool environment! Covers techniques to help in a class setting, child development, and more. This training must be completed prior to volunteering at any Oakville Recreation and Culture Department pool. You must hold a Bronze Medallion. Age: 13+

Spa Day

Want to learn proper techniques for caring for nails, and creating amazing manicures and pedicures? How about skin care or a facial? An esthetician will teach you the basics plus some tips and tricks. Enjoy a pizza lunch as part of your full-day of activities. Age: 10-15

National Lifeguard (Pool Option) Recertification

The Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard (Pool Option) Recertification is for participants who already hold the award but is expired. To maintain a current certification, award holders must recertify within 24 months. Award holders are encouraged to maintain up-to-date skills and ability through recertification. Award holders may recertify at any time regardless of the certification date of the original award.

Standard First Aid Recert LSS Only.

Recertification for LSS Standard First Aid award holders only who have taken a full LSS Standard First Aid course within the last 3 years. LSS SFA holders may recertify their SFA just once on an LSS SFA Recert. To renew LSS SFA awards subsequently, candidates must repeat a full SFA course. Therefore individuals may renew by alternating recertification's and full courses.
