PA Day -3D Printing and Creation

Spend your P.A. Day learning how to design and model 3D structures using easy software. Students will us their imagination and creativity to make objects like a building, figure, animal etc, and then take home a small 3d structure printed on a 3d printer. This program will engage students with the tools required for design, inventing, and fabricating.

ART - P.A. Day Extravaganza

Spend your PA Day at an art gallery! The Varley Art Gallery exposes students to some of the best artists in Canada through interactive tours and art activities. Our young artists get their inspiration from the artworks on show and spend the day focusing on their own masterpieces by participating in full-day mixed media workshops - painting, drawing, and sculpture. All materials included. Please bring a nut-free snack and lunch. Program runs from 9:00am-4:00pm; extended care is included from 8:00-9:00am and 4:00-6:00pm.

Standard First Aid CPR C Recertification

Participants must have a Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid certification to register for this course. If the certification is older than 3 years from the original certification date the participant MUST take a full two day course in accordance with the Ontario Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) rules. The Ontario Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) specifies that Standard First Aid (SFA) award holders may recertify just once on a SFA recertification course. To renew a SFA certification subsequently, WSIB requires you to repeat the full course. Thereafter, you may renew by alternating recertifications and original courses. Materials may be purchased at the facility ( Canadian First Aid Manual). Course Length: 8 hrs.

P.A. DAY - Babysitting Course

Do you enjoy the responsibility of supervising children? Learn how to babysit effectively. Topics includes child care, feeding, child development, child safety, how to handle emergency situations, and first aid. Meet friends and learn new skills. Please note, participants must be 11 years old at the start of the course.

P.A. DAY Basketball Clinic

This P.A. Day basketball clinic will help youth develop their basketball skills through a warm-up, drills, activities, and recreational game play.

P.A. Day Lego Camp

Participants will be challenged to create their lego models using balance, stability, mechanics and colour. Participants will work on their teamwork, creativity and problem solving skills. Please note that this program is not sponsored by the LEGO Group.

PA DAY Badminton Clinic

The badminton clinic will help youths develop their badminton skills through a sports warm-up, drills, activities, and recreational game play. ** birdies are supplied.**

Museum - P.A. Day at the Museum

Bust P.A. Day boredom for your kids! Children will explore the many on-site attractions while participating in fun and educational activities that have been specially programmed to keep kids active while school's out. Please send your child with a nut-free lunch/snacks and dress them for the weather as activities are indoors and outdoors.

LSS Emergency First Aid

Looking to learn Emergency First Aid? This course is designed for those who want to gain a general knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries. The skills taught include: victim assessment, rescue breathing, CPR and obstructed airway procedures, as well as treatment of external bleeding, heart attacks and strokes. This course includes CPR-B certification.

P.A. Day Program (4 to 13 Years)

This one day program offers a variety of physical activities and sports during P.A. Days. Participants will have the opportunity to spend the day focusing on sport skills development, teamwork and fair play. Physical activities and sports opportunities vary based on location and a different experience will be provided for each scheduled P.A. Day.
