LSS Coaching Clinic: Level 1

Lifesaving Sport Coach Level 1 provides training for Lifesaving Instructors who wish to coach Lifesaving Sport at the community level. The course focuses on the fundamentals of coaching and Lifesaving Sport skills in the pool. Lifesaving Sport Coach Level 1 may teach and certify the Society┬┐s Lifesaving Sport Fundamentals program. Prerequisite: Lifesaving Instructor award, Emergency First Aid or Standard First Aid.

P.A. DAY - Babysitting Course

Do you enjoy the responsibility of supervising children? Learn how to babysit effectively. Topics includes child care, feeding, child development, child safety, how to handle emergency situations, and first aid. Meet friends and learn new skills. This leadership program is sponsored by the Canadian Red Cross Society, Region of York Branch. Please note, participants must be 11 years old at the start of the course.

Babysitter Training [C]

Looking to get into the babysitting business? Then this is the course for you! Learn the fundamentals of babysitting and safety in the home. Gain first-hand knowledge of caring for infants and children from the staff of Safety on Site (SOS). Cost includes instruction, manual and certificate. Please bring a lunch, drink, snack, pen and paper, and a large doll/teddy bear to practice on. No peanuts or nut products please! Age: 11-14

High Five® PHCD Course

(13+ years) This seven-hour workshop will focus on applying the principles of healthy child development to sports and recreation programs. Successful candidates receive certification in Principles of Healthy Child Development. This program is a prerequisite for future employment with the Town of Milton's Community Services Department.
