Principles of Healthy Child Development

High Five, Quality at Play program is committed to assisting children along the path of healthy child development. High Five has been designed to promote the safety, well-being, and healthy development of children. This one-day leadership course is mandatory for anyone interested in working for City of Markham summer camps and/or seasonal programs.

High Five PHCD- Healthy Childhood Development

The HIGH FIVE program is committed to assisting healthy development among children. This program teaches participants to integrate the 5 principles into program planning, conflict resolution and creating a safe environment.

HIGH FIVE Training

HIGH FIVE is a quality assurance program developed through Parks & Recreation Ontario and designed to support the safety, well-being and healthy development of children in recreation and sport programs. This program is mandatory for those interested in working in most municipal recreation or camp based programs.

High Five® PHCD Course

(13+ years) This seven-hour workshop will focus on applying the principles of healthy child development to sports and recreation programs. Successful candidates receive certification in Principles of Healthy Child Development. This program is a prerequisite for future employment with the Town of Milton’s Community Services Department. Course books are available at an additional cost.
