Drop In After Breast Cancer Diagnosis H2O ≈
After surgery or treatment for breast cancer, your arm and torso are at risk for lymphedema. Lymphedema is a condition of localized fluid retention and tissue swelling that causes, a feeling of heaviness, poor range of motion and pain. Lymphedema can be prevented or improved with aquatic exercise. The water's natural pressure and gentle movements will assist circulation and reduce lymphatic swelling. This class will focus on a positive outlook, strengthening, range of motion, breathing and relaxation to encourage healthy living after breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. This class is held in the warm water therapeutic pool.
