Adult Painting Workshops

instruct adults to improve their artistic technique, socializing with new people in a fun setting. At several LOLART locations, Drop-in classes are offered weekly with a new theme each time, e.g. (landscape, portrait /people, still life). No matter what subject and what level you choose, we will be there to guide you. Teachers go through the brushwork step-by-step, so no need to stress, just ENJOY!

Digital Art Intermediate-ILLUSTRATION 1

This course is an intermediate level digital illustration and graphic design class. Throughout our lessons, we will get familiar with the  Krita interface  and its many functions such as clipping masks, gradients, marquees, and more.

Students will be just like the industry’s digital artists of today and learn to use a drawing tablet and with a keyboard. This course is designed to provide a solid base for aspiring illustrators, animators, and designers.

The  intermediate Illustration course  has 10 classes that will cover: raster-style art, character collage, digital painting from reference and imagination.

Video Editing

Ever wonder how your favourite Youtubers do those cool effects? Where was your favourite movie filmed? How does your favourite music video make you wanna dance every time? This course is an instruction to video editing for anyone that has ever had these questions. Students will learn how  to plan a story, write a script, film, and, of course, edit their own videos! Using the program Microsoft ClipChamp, students will learn how to import all the sounds, pictures and video clips that they need for their stories. They will learn now to add those things to their video timeline and use transitions to make them flow, text to express themselves and colour-changes to change the feel of their videos. This course aims to provide students with a solid foundation for using digital video programs, tools and techniques to express their creativity and perspective.

Recommended ages: 7+
