It is the philosophy of Appleseed Child Care Centre that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. Preschool children are creative and receptive; our program strives to nurture and encourage these qualities in its students.
The curriculum includes sharing and conversation time, stories, songs and finger plays, creative art activities and crafts, games and large muscle activities, food preparation, science and nature activities, exposure to shapes, colours, numbers, letters and celebration of birthdays and traditional Christian holidays.
We teach and care for the children from a traditional loving Christian philosophy, which includes grace at mealtimes and Bible stories and songs.
We are licensed by the Ministry of Education.
Subsidies are available for those families that qualify.

| The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
| The kindergarten and/or school age program are licensed to operate before and after school and full-day on PA days and school holidays. |
| The kindergarten licensed capacity is based on the use of Room 25: (20), with alternate spaces of Room 24: (20), Room 23: (20); The Library: (20) and Room 9: (20). |
| The school age licensed capacity is based on the use of the Stage/small gym: (30), with the alternate space of the Library: (30), Room 9: (22) and the New Gym: (30). |
| The alternate space of the library may only be used by one group of children at any one time, either 30 School age children or 20 JK/Sk children. |
Director's Approval
| Director's approval has been granted for mixed age grouping under s. 55(2) of O. Reg. 262. Mixed age grouping can be implemented in only one group in each age category. 20% of the licensed capacity per age group is as follows: Kindergarten (20): 4 children and School Age (30): 6 children. |
