D-Camps by Canadian Diabetes Association

The Canadian Diabetes Association has been operating camps for children living with type 1 diabetes since it first opened its doors in 1953. Today, we offer programs for kids across nine provinces.

Today, our Overnight Camps, Leadership Programs and Family Camps continue to provide a true camping experience for kids across Canada living with type 1 diabetes.

  • At D-Camps, children are empowered to self-manage diabetes in a supportive, nurturing environment.
  • At D-Camps, children make connections with other kids who “get” diabetes. They often maintain these connections year-round.
  • At D-Camps, children develop a sense of independence through active outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, campfires and canoeing.

Deals

D-Camp has implemented a voluntary three-tiered pricing program that allows you to select the fee that is appropriate for your family. This is strictly an honour system; your selection will not influence your child’s experience at camp.

  • Tier 1: Lightly Subsidized
  • Tier 2: Partially Subsidized
  • Tier 3: Heavily Subsidized

If the Tier 3 fee remains a challenge, we also offer a limited number of fee subsidies, called Camperships. If you require a Campership, please indicate your request on the application form. For any questions, please contact the Camp Registrar.
