The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents.
The kindergarten and school age program is licensed to operate before and after school on full-day and on PA days and school holidays.
Guidelines and sample menus for preparing bag lunches which meet Canada’s Food Guide, as well as procedures for refrigeration or the use of ice packs with bag lunches, shall be provided to each parent and posted at the centre. The operator shall review this information with parents at the time of enrolment and the information shall be included in the centre’s parent handbook. The centre shall ensure back-up procedures are in place if a bag lunch is forgotten.
A maximum of 64 children may be in the daycare kindergarten playground at any given time.
The kindergarten licensed capacity is based on the use of Rooms 2, 3, 4 and 5 and the alternate space of Rooms 1, 25, 26, 27 and the library.
The school age licensed capacity is based on the use of Rooms 21, 22, 23, 24 and the lunchroom and the alternate space of Rooms B1, B2, 31, 32, 33 and the gymnasium.
Until August 31, 2015, the operator is licensed to provide care for 84 JK/SK children and must meet the staff: child ratios and respect the maximum group sizes in Schedule 3 of Ontario Regulation 262.
Until August 31, 2015, the operator is licensed to provide care for 105 school age children and must meet the staff: child ratios and respect the maximum group sizes in Schedule 3 of Ontario Regulation 262.
As of August 31, 2015, the operator is licensed to provide care for 104 Kindergarten children and must meet the staff: child ratios and respect the maximum group sizes in Schedule 1 of Ontario Regulation 137/15.
As of August 31, 2015, the operator is licensed to provide care for 135 Primary/Junior School Age children and must meet the staff: child ratios and respect the maximum group sizes in Schedule 1 of Ontario Regulation 137/15.
All rooms as set out in the shared space agreement confirmation are approved for use by the child care program based on the licensed capacity, provided that the room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. The operator is required to keep on file at the premises an up-to-date shared space confirmation. This confirmation must include the primary use of the room during the school day and must be made available to Ministry of Education staff upon request.

Director's Approval

Director's approval for a mixed age group for children ages 44 to 67 months. Therefore 20% of one group of 20 children, maximum of 4 children, may be from the younger age group.
Director approval has been granted for the use of Room: 31, 32 and 33, which are located above the second floor.
Director approval has been granted for junior and senior kindergarten children and school age children to bring bagged lunches and/or snacks.
Director's approval for a mixed age group for children ages 68 months to 12 years. Therefore 20% of 30 children, maximum of 6 children, may be from the younger age group.
As of August 31, 2015, director approval is granted for the use of specified rooms/areas that may have less than 2.58 square meters of unobstructed floor space for each child in a licensed kindergarten, primary/junior school age and/or junior school age group, based on the licensed capacity, provided that the same room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group.
As of August 31, 2015, director approval is granted to allow mixed age grouping pursuant to ss. 8(2) and (3) of O. Reg. 137/15.
