For over 40 years, the YMCA of Greater Toronto has provided quality licensed child care programs with exceptionally high standards of care and education meeting or exceeding Provincial and Municipal licensing requirements. . Today we are the largest not for profit provider of Licensed Child Care in Canada with programs for children from infancy to 12 years throughout the GTA. All of our centres open early and close late to fit the schedule of parents and families.

The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. The licensee shall ensure that the total licensed capacity is not exceeded at any time. |
Licensee shall submit written confirmation to the Ministry upon the completion of repairs/painting of school-age room 1, as planned. |
The Licensee shall ensure that the submitted supervision plan regarding the washroom routines is followed. |
The Licensee shall follow Public Health instructions with regards to providing bagged lunches for school age children. |
The kindergarten program is licensed to operate before and after school and full-day on PA days and school holidays. |

Guidelines and sample menus for preparing bag lunches which meet Canada’s Food Guide, as well as procedures for refrigeration or the use of ice packs with bag lunches, shall be provided to each school age parents and posted at the centre. The operator shall review this information with school age parents at the time of enrolment and the information shall be included in the centre’s parent handbook. The centre shall ensure back-up procedures are in place if a bag lunch is forgotten. |
Rooms 2, 13 and 14 are licensed for a group 20 JK/SK children until August 31, 2015 when the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect. Once the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect, Rooms 2, 13 and 14 are licensed for a group of 26 Kindergarten children. |
