TDSB Island Natural Science School Summer Camp

Welcome to the Island Natural Science School Summer Camp Program. Our camp is for children ages 9-13. This fun-filled, 5-day camp is an opportunity to experience a variety of exciting and active programs in the beautiful natural setting of the Toronto Islands.

Our Summer Camp is located at the Island Natural Science School, one of the Toronto District School Board’s Outdoor Education Centres. Since 1960, the Island School has offered year round outdoor education programs for children in Toronto. 

The camp covers

• Four nights’ accommodation and all daytime and evening activities
• All meals, including tuck shop snacks
• Ferry and bus transportation to the camp
• Camp t-shirt

Session Schedule

• Session 1: July 6-10, ages 9 - 11
• Session 2: July 13-17, ages 11 - 13
 
• Session 3: July 20-24, ages 11 - 13

2014 Camp Highlights

• Climbed the low and high ropes course on the Toronto Island
• Toured the islands by bike and were active outdoors in the Sports Program
• Explored different roles, stories and games during the Drama Program
• Investigated the who, what, when, where and why in the Nature Program
• Creative in the Arts & Crafts Program and designed your own Island Camp t-shirt
• Had fun in our special Evening Programs, indoors and outdoors
