The Ajax Riding Academy (TARA) is conveniently located in Ajax, Ontario, between Taunton Road and Highway 7. We offer a state of the art riding facility that includes English horseback riding lessons, year-round. Our coaches and instructors are members of the Ontario Equestrian Federation (OEF) and are Equine Canada (EC) certified. TARA offers lessons, camps, horse shows, leasing, and boarding opportunities.
TARA offers P.A Day, Summer, Winter, and March Break camps, as well as a series of Open Schooling Shows for riders of all levels.
Our facility includes: administrative office, 2 indoor arenas with attatched heated viewing lounges, large outdoor sand ring, 60' round pen, beautiful trails, newley renovated classroom, individual lockers, washroom, private change rooms, childcare area and outdoor playground. We also offer an exclusive full leasing and boarding barn with 20 large boxstalls and a private feedroom just off the main indoor arena. All arenas include a full set of hunter/jumper jumps, and some cross country options.
Riding Lessons: group, private and semi private lessons.
Lessons are provided all year around, from beginner to advanced levels. Instruction in Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and Cross Country riding is provided by qualified staff. We suggest that a student be 6 years old before commencing formal group riding lessons. Lessons are reserved by monthly session. A monthly session includes 4 lessons. Instruction is available on weekday evenings and on weekends.
Camps: for Christmas, March Break, and Summer
In each camp, camper's riding ability will be assessed and then riding groups will be formed. The camps include:
