The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
This program is licensed to operate with a capacity of 30 children, 68 months to 12 years of age with an alternate capacity of 20 children 44 months to 67 months of age. Children up to the age of 12 years may be included in the alternate capacity. The alternate age group has been approved based on the operators plan reviewed during the licensing inspection. |
The operator shall ensure that a 1 to 10 staff/child ratio is maintained when capacity for kindergarten children is used (20 children aged 44 to 67 months). |
Guidelines and sample menus for preparing bag lunches/snacks which meet Canada's Food Guide, as well as procedures for refrigeration or the use of ice packs with bag lunches, shall be provided to each parent and posted at the centre. The operator shall review this information with parents at the time of enrolment and the information shall be included in the centre's parent handbook. The centre shall ensure back-up procedures are in place if a bag lunch/snack is forgotten. |
The school age licenced capacity and the kindergarten alternate capacity are based on the use of room 104 and the alternate space of the Gymnasium and Computer lab. |
The operator shall not allow the use of the school playstructure to children aged under 5 years old as it is intended for children 5 to 12 years. |
