Carefully developed programs are offered at our relaxed, all-girls camp on Georgian Bay. Girls thrive as they develop leadership skills, gain confidence and try new things. For over 80 years, parents have trusted YWCA’s Camp Tapawingo to provide their girls with a safe and life changing camp experience. Our expertise in girls’ development has allowed us to create programs that meet the diverse and specific needs of girls of all ages. 

Located in Parry Sound, Ontario, YWCA’s Camp Tapawingo is a traditional, overnight summer camp for girls aged 6 to 15 years old. Camp sessions vary from 1, 2 or 3 weeks.

The camp also offers day camp, family and women’s weekends as well as off-season rentals for groups, weddings and retreats.

Camps for younger girls

Girls between the ages of 6 and 10 years can choose from our traditional 2 or 3-week sessions or our special one-week session for junior girls. The one-week session provides girls with an introduction to camp life.

Fifteen year olds

Create your own adventure. You and your cabin mates will work together choosing and implementing special programs.

Sixteen year olds - Leadership training

You can be a leader. We offer an exceptional four week counsellor-in-training program. You will develop strong leadership skills, while learning the essential skills to work with youth. There is a special application for this program. Please contact the camping office for more information.
